Hello, my name is Ryan Pendergraft. I have the privilege of shepherding God’s flock here at Osceola FBC.
My Testimony: I surrendered my life to the Lord at six years old. My parents had previously lost two children before I was born. This sparked my curiosity concerning God and heaven. I always wondered if I would see the brothers I never was able to meet and I figured, as a six year old boy, that one day I would go to heaven and see them. My parents knew my interest and proceeded to tell me about the Gospel. They told me about sin, hell, and judgment, as well as the grace and mercy of God in sending His one and only Son to die on the cross for me. It was then on July 31,1995 I accepted Christ as my Savior and Lord.
My Family: I have a beautiful wife whom God has blessed me with. We were married…..hmmm…. oh, August 6,2011. She keeps me accountable to be the man God has called me to be, not just in my vocation as a pastor, but also as a husband and father. She is my best friend. The two of us have been through a lot in four years, but I would not give up the time I have had with her for anything in this world. She truly is the love of my life.
I also have two daughters, Lynnlee Grace, she was born to us on January 23, 2014. She has taught me more about the love of God as our heavenly Father than anyone else. She is my princess and I am blessed beyond measure to be called her daddy.
Then there is the new arrival Maelee Faith, born February 29, 2016. She is my leap year baby, which only means that she CANNOT date until she is 64 years old. I love her to pieces and she has stolen my heart from day one.
My Hobbies: My hobbies come around once a year and all at the same time. I love fall, and fall gives me the opportunity to bow hunt, and catch up on what is going on in college basketball.
My Goals: My goals as a husband and father are to emulate Christ to my family. I believe that God has placed man at the head of the home, but as the Bible states, the head of every man is Christ. I try to live in subjection to my Lord and lead my family in His ways.
My goal as a pastor is to equip the saints for ministry. – Ephesians 4:11. This is done primarily through expository preaching of God’s Word. Also, as Paul instructed Timothy, I am to be an example to the believers in speech, conduct, purity, love, and faith. – 1 Timothy 4:11&12.
That is enough about me. I hope you come join us and learn more about our wonderful Savior Jesus Christ.
